Everything Sale

The Teen Centre is a place for teens to hang out and get job experience. They manage the TC's operations, including running "Hamburger Night" which happens most weeks during the school year.

While the TC building is used for all kinds of events - basketball, floorball, youth group, conferences, etc. - another big event run by the TC staff is the Everything Sale. People donate stuff they don't need anymore and then once a year, it's all sorted and we have a big sale! All the proceeds go to the TC.

Most afternoons and evenings this week I worked with the teens and some other adults to sort all this stuff. People donated just about everything you can imagine, from a Christmas tree (see below) to toilet seats and from working CD players to brand new Teva sandals.

I spent way more time than I expected doing the "jewelry counter" - untangling piles of twisted necklaces and searching for matching pairs of earrings. But the profits to the TC will make it worth it.

The sale is tomorrow morning and we anticipate a huge, rowdy crowd!

Hi, Sara,
Looks like one humongous indoor yard sale!! Bet it was fun to browse. Sounds like you enjoy working with the teens and helping out. Thanks for sharing. Have a great day.
