I thought I'd give you a highlight (or two) for each day over the past few weeks to give you an idea of what I've been doing. It goes backwards in time - hopefully it won't be confusing, but this is the way my mind works :-)
Thursday, July 2 - Dinner and weekly prayer time with Joy and Juliann
Wednesday, July 1 - Had five friends over for dinner and games at my house
Tuesday, June 30 - Cooked to get ready for the dinner
Monday, June 29 - Went to the market; upon arriving at work, found jello on my desk; game night to say goodbye to Rachel, who taught at the school for a year
Sunday, June 28 - Friends Ryan and Crystal were commissioned to work among the Saut Manda people, a potluck lunch with POC friends, ultimate frisbee and a movie at the evening church service
Saturday, June 27 - Worked in the community library; threw meat scraps into the air and watched hawks swoop down to catch them; game night at Sharlene's
Friday, June 26 - Market morning; dinner and a movie with Helen and Jen
Thursday, June 25 - Dinner and a movie at Krista and Rachel's
Wednesday, June 24 - Lunch and weekly prayer meeting with Joy and Juliann; last week babysitting for some friends' kids
Tuesday, June 23 - Stayed home and caught up on my Agatha Christie reading :-)
Monday, June 22 - Housewarming cookout and movie at Daniel and Luke's

Wow, Sara, God is so good to provide what we need when we need it. Our service for the Lord does become lonely but God brings encouragement just at the right time. I praise the LORD with you.

Happy Independence Day!! Mr. Hower and Mary are off to view the Montrose Parade while John and I hold down the fort. While in Maine we visited a map store (DeLormes) which has a huge rotating globe on display (called"Eartha") You can view it from three levels and what an amazing perspective it gives on where our missionaries are serving and some of the geological features. The Pacific Ocean seems to fill almost half of it with blue(which Rich attests to having sailed on a Navy ship to Japan from the US in the 60's). He said it took 9 hours flying back to CA on a military plane when his term was up). It just gave me goose pimples to see PNG go by as well as the immensity of the Amazon basin in SA, the deserts in Africa, the Rockies in US and Canada, the Andes in SA. Even the Middle East and Holy Lands. It is interesting to contemplate the area Paul missioned in by foot and by sea. We are having what Maine forecasters termed "peeks of sun" today, only more lengthy than those in Maine! Our tent and dining fly are beginning to dry out. The tarps still need to be spread out and dried. Hope you, too, are having some relief from MUD. Have been enjoying all the info from you, Joy, and Juliann. We came across a JAARS poster in Rumford ME where they are having some Mission Aviation flights come in the fall. I thought it so like God to find Wycliffe even there as we were keeping you all in mind.
