Pray for Krista

My friend Krista came to POC in January. One day as she was walking there, she twisted her ankle on a muddy spot on the ground, and didn't think much of it. In the days and weeks that followed, her ankle continued getting worse until she needed crutches to get around. She wasn't able to finish POC and had to come to Ukarumpa instead of going to village living.

Two weeks ago today Krista arrived at the Ukarumpa, and every day since then her ankle has continued getting worse. Yesterday she and the doctors decided that she needs to seek medical outside of PNG, where she can get an MRI and figure out what is causing her pain.

I'm going to be traveling to Australia with Krista, leaving sometime early next week or sooner, hopefully. Our plans have changed many times since the decision was made yesterday that she needs to go: we'd planned to leave as early as tomorrow at noon and as late as a week from now.

I'd like to ask for your prayers for us, especially Krista, as we plan and prepare to leave, not knowing how long we'll be gone. Please pray for Krista to have relief from her pain. Pray that plans will work out for us to go as soon as possible, so she and the doctors will know what's wrong and how to fix it. Pray for safety and good connections when we travel and for the time we will spend in an unfamiliar city (Cairns, Australia).
