When I was in Papua New Guinea three years ago, I spent a month living in a remote village with veteran Bible translators Neil and Carol Anderson. Neil and Carol spent over 35 years working with the Folopa people. Last January, the Andersons, along with the Folopa people, celebrated the dedication of the New Testament into the Folopa language.
Neil and Carol have an excellent website where you can read about their family and the Folopa people. They have posted many pictures and some videos from their work in Papua New Guinea over the years. If you have your speakers turned on, you'll be able to hear Folopa music playing while you are on the site. Visit the links page for more information about the Folopa people and Papua New Guinea.
Neil and Carol have both written excellent books about their experiences working in Papua New Guinea. More information about the books is available on their website, and you can even read the full text of Carol's book on the site!
You can find their website at http://folopa.com/.
Take some time to check out this interesting and informative site!
